Which sport for the army ?

FOR YOUR RECRUITMENT

Sports evaluations are part of the recruitment process. The result counts for your overall record, but also for your choice of specialty: entering the special forces, for example, requires higher results than those expected in other specialties.

Lightweight Luc, pull-ups, squats, obstacle course... To familiarize yourself with the tests and prepare yourself, find our advice and training programs on our website.

MISCONCEPTION :
"YOU HAVE TO BE EXTREMELY ATHLETIC TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ARMY"
- FALSE
All you need is to be in good physical condition, to prepare yourself and to be motivated. You will progress once you join. Above all, give it your all so that you have nothing to regret.

IN YOUR LIFE AS A SOLDIER

Sports are an integral part of the culture and daily life of the soldier. You will constantly train to progress and remain operational, at least 1 hour per day.

The 4 main sports practiced in the regiment are running, weight training, swimming and close operational intervention technique (which is the combat sport of the army). But you can practice many other sports depending on your regiment, such as soccer, CrossFit, orienteering, badminton, climbing...

ANNUAL TESTS

The Military Physical Fitness Tests (MPFC), that you will have to take every year, are graded tests that will have an impact on your career (posting, promotion, transfer request...). One more motivation to train and progress.

Being in good physical shape is essential to the soldier's job; therefore, sports activities will be an important part of your daily life. Training will allow you, year after year, to progress and to develop a taste for surpassing yourself.
